Modern Mini Challenge!

I am getting out of my comfort zone and participating today :) I have my most favorite quilt in the world- a wall hanging quilt- that I want to show again.  I made it as part of the Doll Quilt Swap, but my partner had different tastes than I first thought, so it became my most favorite well hanging!  I all is Crazy Love- cause I thought the idea was crazy and I love it! ;)

It is my first circular quilt and I may be hooked :) At 20.5 inches across, it is the perfect size.  I had the idea swim around in my head and knew I just had to figure out HOW to do it!  It took lots of piecing and some creative figuring, but I got it done.  I really love how it turned out!  It's really nice to see when you get a crazy idea that you think may be impossible and turn it into something real and do-able :)Hip, hip, hooray for a strong will and determination :)

I used several Kona scrap packs to get the ombre colors and then Kona black for the binding.  The background is the Madrona Road text print in charcoal. The spiral in the center is hand embroidered.  It's my favorite part :).  I free motion quilted the entire thing with tiny pebbles all over- I should have counted cause there are a billion of them :).

Thanks for stopping by and being part of such a great Festival!!  Have a marvelous day :)
